Peter Behrens

One of the founding members of the Deutscher Werkbund, German architect and designer Behrens is considered to be the first industrial designer, who worked as the artistic advisor for German electrical manufacturer Allgemeine Elektricitäts-Gesellschaft Aktiengesellschaft (AEG) while employing some of the leading figures of twentieth-century modernist architecture and design as assistants.
